Team Evergreen Racing Weekly News - Thursday June 7th, 2007

• Welcome to the TER weekly news.  This email news goes out to all team members early Thursday mornings.

• Cyclo-Core - For those that have reviewed and are implementing any Cyclo-Core programs, we are tentatively planning a June session with Graeme Street. Stay tuned for details.
   

• Positions for the TER Board - are available for next season - please email Ted if you have any questions and would like to be involved with the direction of this great team!

• Winter Park Mountain Bike Series -

The Winter Park Mountain Bike Series Roster is complete! We have 4 teams this year so be sure to get on up to Winter Park and cross the finish line!

I rode the Hill Climb course last week and it is clear and smooth. There are a few ruts but a Cyclocross bike would work fine.

• New race for the HC series competition! - Sat. June 9: The ACA Rist Canyon Road Race (Ft. Collins). There is 5,500 ft of elevation gain in the first 25 miles, so it's a great race for hill climbers! Check the ACA website for more details.

  Sat. June 16: WP Hill Climb - This is a mtn bike race, but it is up the Mary Jane ski area, so should not be too technical. It is part of the Winter Park series, so if you are interested, contact Ted Benning.

  Sat. June 30: Sunshine Canyon HC (Boulder) - For more information, check the ACA website.

• Hill Climb / Saturday Training Ride - Sunday, June 10: Golden Gate canyon route. (Maps will be provided at the start) **Please email the ride leader, Heath Baxa (heathbaxa@hotmail .com), if you plan to ride.

  Rally at 8:30 am at the south side of the King Sooper’s parking lot on Golden road. Route: Warm-up to the start of Golden Gate Canyon and push it up to the top, re-grouping at the Campground store (on the north side of the road) right before you reach the Peak to Peak highway.

  Option A: Turn around and head back to the start.

  Option B: (endurance route): Head on to Wondervu and then down Coal Creek canyon and back to Golden via the back roads.

  Wednesday mid-week training - June 13. Ride leader: Nigel.

  Route: Meet at the base of Lookout, ready to ride up by 5:30. TT and interval training to the top. Head back down to re-group with those who started later (if anyone does) and push it back up to the top. Option: Meet at the base of Lookout at 6pm. Please email Nigel (nthompson@cloudsync.com) and let him know if you plan on arriving at this later time!

• TER race kits - are in. If you do not have your kit, then make arrangements with Cal to pick it up!

• WANTED - A TER member to become Membership contact for the remainder of 2007. Please email Cal if you are interested. Duties entail documenting members information, providing TER information to potential members, TER clothing disbursement, and TER clothing sales.

• Panaracer - pro deal tires have arrived, please arrange pickup with Cal.

• Go Fast beverage - Please submit order to Cal by June 5th.  Cases are $13 each.

• Limar Helmets - pro deal order can be ordered through Canyon Cycles.

• Ridley bicycle - pro deals available through Canyon Cycles.  Contact Cal for details.  If you ordered a Ridley - please make final payment at Canyon Cycles. Ridley reports that ALL of the TER Frames/Bikes except the Cheetah and the Supercross are ready to ship.

• Back to Wellness Chiropractic - has the following offerings for TER members: New Patients: Purchase their first visit $75 and get the second visit for free a $35 value. Existing patients within TER: Wellness Package is discounted from $360 to $300 for 12 visits. That means visits as low as $25.00, intended to be used within one year. • Cyclo-Core - is our Title sponsor this season and has offered ALL TER racers access to their Cyclo-Core and Cyclo-Zen training packages at NO COST. Since the Number 1 response from the TER Racer Poll was for some type of structured training, this is one way to get started on the season, NOW. As these packages are worth $125 each, you must email Ted with your request and commitment to viewing the DVDs and arrange to pick them up or have mailed.
