Team News      (email contact Kevin Skruch)

  • Welcome to the TER weekly news.  This email news goes out to all team members early Thursday mornings.

  • TER is Open for new members - This email was sent to all current team members, as well as all active members of the Team Evergreen Bicycle Club email list that have selected "NewsRace" in their preferences.  If you want to change your preferences so that you don't receive this email each week, please click the link at the bottom of this email that says "preferences" and make the appropriate adjustments.

Membership Info      (email contact René Pirolt)

  • Membership - If you are interested in learning more about the race team, please contact René.

  • Team Clothing - the team kits were distributed at the Morrison Saturday training ride location this past weekend. All remaining kits were bagged, labeled and boxed and taken to Green Mountain Sports. If you did not pay for shipping or pickup your kit by other means, it is waiting for you there!
Please try it on as soon as you get it to check the fit. If it is just not going to work for you, please do not ride in it to 'check it out'...contact me via email and let me know what you need and I will try to see if we can get you the correct fit - and we can swap the items. We are low on some items, and have NO womens shorts - (unless I get some trade ins) - we do have 2 Large womens bib shorts. We are currently working on a reorder of womens shorts and other items we are somewhat low on. If you want to order additional items, please contact me first, so I can let you know if I have it in stock, before sending the order to Rene. We have plenty of Mens medium jerseys!

It appears that our Team Store items might arrive early. I have just received notice that a ship date has been set, but they didn't say what the date is. Hopefully, it might ship this week.

If you have any questions regarding kits or team clothing, please contact Cory Kramer.

TER participation in Team TT races.

There are two races coming up that offer a Team TT event. This involves 4 team members riding together in a paceline, where at least 2 riders need to cross the finish line in order to qualify for a place.

The two races are the Haystack TT on April 12, and the Rabbit Mt TT on Sunday May, 4.

Please contact Michael Raber ASAP if you are interested in participating in either of these events as we need to register as a team.

Physical Conditioning and Coaching       ( email contact David Newcomer)

  • Wednesday Workout – CTS Zone of Discomfort

Here's the workout we did yesterday. The idea is to get right to the
LT for the intervals and recover just long enough to do it again.
The pace you're aiming for is just about TT pace. By the time you get
to the series of 4 minute intervals, the recovery passes surprisingly
fast. By the time you hit the last one though, it feels pretty good.

10m warm-up
 1m fast pedal (med/high ~ 115 rpms)
 1m recovery
 1m fast pedal (med/high ~ 115 rpms)

10m temp (med/high intensity at 70 rpms) 2m recovery

 4m steady state (med/high ~ 85-90 rpms) 2m recovery 4m steady state
