Devil’s Thumb Ranch
XC - Anita
Nebel from TER has worked hard to offer the following Special
Promotion from Devil’s Thumb Ranch:
It’s no secret
that cross-country skiing is one of the top cross-training workouts
for cyclists. This winter Team Evergreen members will be able to
take advantage of discounted rates for seasons passes, daily trail
passes and Learn To Ski packages at Devil’s Thumb Nordic Center in
Tabernash (near Winter Park). A season pass can be purchased for
$150.00 (reg. $180) until Dec. 1st, then $200.00 after (reg. $240)
Daily trail passes will be $13.00 (reg. $18.00). The Learn to Ski
package, which includes equipment rental, trail pass and hour group
lesson, is offered to TE members for $45.00 (reg. $60.00). The
package is available Monday thru Thursdays, excluding Dec. 22-Jan. 2
and holidays. Members must present their Team Evergreen membership
card to obtain these rates. Devil’s Thumb is also hosting a series
of fun events throughout the winter, including Full Moon ski nights,
Ski and Soak Days for the ladies and a Ski Fest on December 13th
that will feature free lessons and free demos. If you haven’t been
to Devil’s Thumb Ranch, this should be the winter to check it out.
It is one of the premier Nordic Centers in the country. Call

ACA Updates:
The upcoming Boulder Cup races are going to be BCR/BCT points
races. These races are also attended by the top national pros.
It is a lot of fun to go to those races and see how fast the top
pros really are. Watch for the current women's national
champion, Katie Compton. She is a local from Colorado Springs
and has been the national champion for about four years.
